Whether it’s exercising more, eating a healthier diet, or practicing mindfulness, making small changes can have a big impact on our overall well-being. In this post, we’ll explore 10 things that I plan to add to my new year’s habits list :

  1. Get enough sleep: Sleep is the most underrated remedy. Adequate sleep is essential for good physical and mental health. I’ll aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night, and create a relaxing bedtime routine to help you wind down before sleep.
  2. Take care of your mental health: Mental health is just as important as physical health. After leaving #ARM, 2022 was not so great as I was not that much busy and engaged. On another side, it was good because I spent a lot of time with my family. I feel if you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious, don’t hesitate to seek support from a mental health professional. You can also try incorporating stress-reducing activities like deep breathing or mindfulness into your daily routine.
  3. Exercise regularly: Adding regular exercise to your routine can have numerous benefits for your physical and mental health. It can help you sleep better, reduce stress, improve cardiovascular health, and even boost your mood. Don’t do this because you have to do this, do it if you feel like doing else create small habits to follow 15 min stretching once or twice a day.
  4. Eat a healthy diet: While I love to explore all types of foods. It can be unhealthy sometimes. A healthy diet can help you feel more energized, reduce your risk of chronic diseases, and support overall well-being. I follow a philosophy of a mixed diet, nothing is bad or good if consumed in moderation. So I’ll eat chole bhature if I feel like it. Having said that try incorporating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your meals and snacks, and limit your intake of processed and sugary foods.
  5. Practice mindfulness: Mindfulness involves paying attention to the present moment, without judgment. It can help you reduce stress, improve focus, and increase overall well-being. Try incorporating mindfulness practices like meditation or yoga into your daily routine. This year, I also planned to launch DailyU.app. An art-based affirmations app by Bhavya (The Doodle Desk).
  6. Stay organized: Being organized can help you save time, reduce stress, and increase productivity. Set aside time each week to declutter and organize your space, and create a system for keeping track of tasks and appointments.
  7. Set goals and work towards them: Setting goals can help you stay motivated and focused, and can provide a sense of accomplishment when you achieve them. Start by setting small, achievable goals, and work your way up to bigger ones.
  8. Practice gratitude: Focusing on the things you are thankful for can help you feel more positive and content. Try keeping a gratitude journal, where you write down a few things you are grateful for each day. It’s difficult sometimes for guys to express but I’m grateful that I’m learning this 🙂
  9. Learn something new: Lifelong learning can help you stay engaged and motivated, and can also boost your confidence and sense of accomplishment. Consider taking a class or learning a new skill or hobby.
  10. Connect with others: Strong social connections are important for our overall well-being. Make an effort to spend quality time with friends and family, and consider joining a social group or club to meet new people.
